Warm, lightweight, waterproof
Given the price I paid, I was expecting this to be a mediocre item at best. I was pleasantly surprised - this is a quality jacket at a great price. It's surprisingly warm (windproof) - like wearing a thin jumper - and perfect for cycling. In the winter, I think this together with a jumper is all you'd need to keep warm without overheating.
I've worn it whilst cycling in persistent drizzle for 20 minutes and remained completely dry. It may not fare so well in a heavy downpour but we'll see.
There are lots of nice zip pockets and quality touches such as small reflective patches and double zips to adjust how open you want the jacket to be.
It looks good - nicely fitted.
The only downside is that it doesn't have a hood but I put on a waterproof cap so no problem there. Highly recommended.
good for up to half an hour in rain
got this in october 2010 and am very pleased with it - have worn it continuously through the winter - warm enough for the recent (very) cold weather, and smart enough to wear to the office, without having to bring an extra jacket. Good pockets, good zips under arms for more ventilation in summer. It will start letting in water though, after about 20mins-30mins of driving rain, so, if you're commute is longer than that probably not the most suitable, but overall a very good, versatile jacket.
