I was dubious about spending so much money on a pair of running tights....
These tights were recommended by a friend who had been suffering from the same condition as me (IT band syndrome). I've been training for a half marathon for about 4 months and six weeks before race day my IT band started to give me major problems, probably due to the extra miles I was doing. I tried everything....physio visits, IT band wraps, stretches, resting etc but nothing seemed to be helping. So in desperation (thinking I wasn't even going to be able to take part in the race) I spent even MORE money on these tights. They arrived yesterday and I did a 5 mile PB last night! It took a while to squeeze myself into them......they look like they'd fit a child as they're so small and VERY compressy (if that's a word?!), but obviously that's the point of compression tights! My right knee was still giving me a little bit of gyp after the run but nowhere near as bad as I've had to suffer the last month or two so I'm hoping they're going to see me through the race in just over a weeks...
