Lovely coat, awful delivery
This is a lovely coat, fits well and is very stylish. A little thin perhaps, but there is space for extra layers underneath. I was very disappointed with the delivery by UKMail however: they only attempted one delivery (their call card says they'll come again the next day but they didnt), are impossible to get hold of by phone, and by the time I managed to speak to them, exactly a week after the attempted delivery, they had already returned the goods to the seller! No words describe my frustration, but the seller came to the rescue, rearranged a delivery with Royal Mail which went very smoothly (in fact I missed that one too, but I arranged on line redelivery successfully). Happy end to my saga.

Warm, very comfortable, easy-care base-layer
I am very impressed with these Icebreaker baselayers and now have a selection of 'Oasis Bodyfit' 200, 260 and the cheaper Icebreaker 'Red Ram' and 'Everyday' ranges.

For anyone curious or interested, the main difference between the 'Icebreaker Everyday' range and the more expensive 'Oasis' range is that the 'Red Ram' (150 weight)/'Everyday' range (200 weight) wool is more textured due to a slightly looser knit, it feels more like wool to touch, has a less smooth finish (rather than the silkier, cotton-like feel found on the 'Oasis'), and it has a straight cut and straight seams rather than having the more shaped body and arm seams found on the Oasis. Both perform equally well in use but the sleeves on the 'Everyday' range seem to twist less than the shaped 'Oasis' sleeves when worn beneath a fleece.

So far I've worn mine for walking, camping, canoeing and sleeping in. In mid-winter trips when I've been wildcamping with no facilities at all, I've popped it on...

Good for recovery
Really nice fit, you immediately feel the difference between this compression base layer and a normal one. I bought the top and bottoms together but for cycling so can't really comment on the top as my legs are doing all the work however I am very pleased with both.

The compression really does help on recovery although I have not noticed any difference during my rides. There are plenty of good reviews on wiggle with more technical detail but if you simply want a good base layer that is technical and can be used to help recovery then this is the one for you.

Yes i thoroughly rate the mid-weight base layer. OK- the bad news is i've only had it two days
so this isn't an indepth review at all.
The fabric, although mid-weight isn't really weighty at all and you really don't notice the fabric on your skin either.
I wanted to migrate away from merino wool product because i'm just too sensitive to the wool - even small amounts. This is
much less weight than my IceBreaker 260.
Sizing. I believe Marmot is an American brand because L (large) is for 42 / 45 inch chest. So even though im 41.5 inch chest, large fits me like the
man in the advert i.e a bit loose - and the arm lengths/ body length are too generous as well - again see the advert picture.
On the Marmot website there is a sizing chart - for my height, i fit large size mid way in the range - but again it looks exactly like the advert - just a bit too
long - but admit some folk may prefer to have a long body. Also, my left arm sleeve is 2cm longer than...

A good coat, long but not 'full length' - its knee length.
the coat arrived at 8am the next morning after ordering it in the middle part of the day before.

a word about size: I am a 6'2" man with normally a 44" chest size , and XL is my size in shops.
I ordered this coat in the 46" size and it was just right for me. the 44" would have been too small.

length wise it sits at knee level, not below. it would need to be another 3 or 4 inches long to be
regarded, in my opinion, as a 'full length coat" I have a full length formal coat, so I know for sure.

You may think the hood is a bit large and floppy in this size when you get it. but what i did was to take the flat of both hands together and starting at the back of the head, smooth the hood down by sliding both hands down under and around each ear.
the floppy hood now looks stylish with its baggyness taken up as 'lobe' below my ear areas.

i will probably keep this coat even tho its a few inches shorter than i had hoped for...

Top Coat
Very nice coat and appears good quality and well made. I ordered it in the same size as my other winter coats which are a loose fit but it fitted a little too snug so I had to return it. Would recommend but suggest you order a size up for a more comfortable fit
