I love this jacket and have given it the full 5 stars, however it did arrive with the Security Tag still attached which confused me a bit. After around 5 minutes I managed to get it off without any damage to the Jacket though it did seem like something they should have checked for before dispatch also I'm assuming that this is just a one off and so shouldn't affect anyone else however if it does I guess you could take the Invoice and the Jacket into a shop and explain the situation and they'd remove the tag for you; other than this problem (Which wasn't the Jacket it was more the company) I love this Jacket and would happily recommend to anyone =]

Great Style, Poor Quality
I was delighted when I found this jacket - it's exactly what I was looking for. Cool, slimline, solid-feeling without being too heavy. Love the stripes also.

However, within minutes or wearing, the top of the main zip came off, so I couldn't zip it up to the top without it coming open. Then one of the pocket zips became jammed (not on material - there was an issue with the metal inside the actual zip).

So, I had to send the jacket back. Very disappointed, as I liked it so much, but I just wouldn't trust that the quality would be any better if I got a replacement.

2nd time around.
I am just replacing a Paramo Smock which I bought in 1997! After16 years of cycle commuting, cycle touring and hillwalking have not worn this old smock out. I am replacing it because of oil stains. My old Jacket had been washed and reproofed 100's of times and it still works! Which is more than I can say for other jackets I have used, which tend to die after about 3 years of careful use!

I was amazed by how little the design has changed, This one says its a 10 year old design.. It s clearly built of the basis of the forerunner so I have great expectations for this jacket!

I have found this type if analogy directional waterproof jacket, bullet-proof compared to other top name membrane waterproof systems. It is bomb proof and as long as you wash and reproof as Paramo say, who will get years and years and years of use out of it....

Lovely coat, awful delivery
This is a lovely coat, fits well and is very stylish. A little thin perhaps, but there is space for extra layers underneath. I was very disappointed with the delivery by UKMail however: they only attempted one delivery (their call card says they'll come again the next day but they didnt), are impossible to get hold of by phone, and by the time I managed to speak to them, exactly a week after the attempted delivery, they had already returned the goods to the seller! No words describe my frustration, but the seller came to the rescue, rearranged a delivery with Royal Mail which went very smoothly (in fact I missed that one too, but I arranged on line redelivery successfully). Happy end to my saga.

Practical
Have wanted a decent, reasonable quality wax jacket for a while now, without spending a fortune on it and this fits the bill. Ordered on a Sunday, dispatched on Monday & delivered on Wednesday. I normally go for a medium, but after looking at the size guide went for the large and it fits perfectly. Can't see the point of paying out almost 4x the cost of this one, for a "named" wax jacket, when this looks as if it will do the same job. Can't wait for it to rain now, so I can go out in it.

Exceptional quality, bought primarily for bike commute to work and i can atest to the windproof and waterproof properties both outstanding. I couldn't quite understand how a jacket could be windproof but this truly is my cycle to work is primarily downhill starting with a 200m drop over 1.6km so its a windy decent into work but with the leadville i really don't feel any wind at all on chest or arms (a strange sensation when ur face and legs are freezing). Living in the north west of ireland i've certainly gotten the chance to test its water proof properties and it is definatly that i got caught in a torrential downpour on the cycle home recently and found it worked perfectly i was bone dry and it takes me about 25min to get home. My only complaint was i found the sleeves a bit long i got the small and @ 5ft6in it was fine in length but the sleeves were about 1.5in too long regardless the velcro straps on the sleeves resolve this issue. This jacket is surprisingly light, well made and having worn it a couple of times on very blustery days on the cuts wind out remarkably well. It has little thermal insulation itself, but is very effective worn with a light fleece, cannot yet comment on water resistance, but do still carry a waterproof shell for storms

Excellent lightweight waterproof jacket
Bought for my son for trekking in South America this year. During a test weekend in Snowy and wet Snowdonia it performed well and kept him dry and warm (with plenty of layers underneath). Well made and comfortable to wear. My son is very pleased with it and I think it will withstand the rigours of a teenager's approach to garment care. The one small niggle is the hood, clearly designed to work best under a mountaineering helmet; with out one the hood flaps around a bit.

No problems at all with the seller. Item received quickly.
