Good quality waterproof trousers
I've recently purchased a pair of the Marmot Women's PreCip waterproof pants to replace a pair of the same ones. My last pair lasted well, about 3 years before any problems. Working in the outdoors I wear them a lot. I've been wearing the trousers all day today in heavy rain and still had dry legs at the end of the walk. They're reasonably lightweight to carry around but also durable. The best thing is the full length zips which make them quick and easy to put on when you're wearing walking boots. I've had no problems with the zips letting water in. The only difference between my new pair and the last is that although the label size is the same, the new ones are in fact slightly bigger at the waist and longer too - a little bit annoying.
